There are many retail experiences that you read about and miss out on living in New Zealand. High street stores such as Forever 21, H&M and Top Shop are a few that always seem to be in my face with cool yet well price clothings, shoes and accessories. However, with (usually) heavy shipping fees and possible import taxes it’s often a little too pricey and complicated to try buying online.
You can imagine how excited I was when I heard that one of the 3, Top Shop, was making its way to New Zealand with its arrival scheduled for as early as late April.
Opening on the top floor of The Department Store, Takapuna and bringing with it a selection of TopShop’s latest ranges including designer collaborations such as Kate Moss for Top Shop (something that we don’t really get in New Zealand).
It sounds like a perfect match, with TopShop having approached the Department Store in February this year having chosen iconic retail location as the place to launch their brand in New Zealand.
It’s hard to say what pieces will make it to our shoes, but in the hands of Karen Walker and the rest of the Department Store team things can’t go too wrong.

And at a handy 5 minutes from where I live, things could get messy.

Congrats on getting a Topshop! I actually prefer their online store to shopping in real life, because I find the choices so overwhelming (at least in the UK), although a department store setting might be just right. Here’s hoping they don’t increase the price as they did in the States, but even then it should be way cheaper than the additional shipping fees!
OoOOoOOo I’m not a big shopper I’m not very fashionable but when I look at blogs where bloggers post what they are wearing it’s a lot of topshop and forever 21 seems like those stores have a lot of fab stuff.. I hope forever 21 comes to NZ too hehehe…. x
