Customized Alice in Wonderland themed shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood via
“Blue shoes decorated with a heel with a chessboard pattern and with red roses, coffee cups and pocket watch: the proper shoes to go in Wonderland.”
Short Courses. I attended a short course in sales skills yesterday which was great. I learnt a lot about sales that has made it seem a lot less of a ‘black box,’ and something that with the right methods can succeed at. Not that I’m looking for a career in sales, but they are useful skills to have! Bottom line: Stop ‘selling’!
Social Media Club Auckland. I also attended Social Media Club Auckland, on the topic of Social Media for Social Good. Social Media NZ live blogged during the event, which was a great listen. Key takeaways, ‘let your online champions promote your cause in their voice.’
Getaways. I made two getaways this week. Last weekend I went down to New Plymouth to pick up a car – and I got to stay in my own nice hotel room. I somehow managed to drive 5 and a 1/2 hours straight on the way back, and I wound up with a nasty headache that stuck around until Monday afternoon. Then I went up to my boyfriends mum’s lifestyle block in Wainui to stay the night. Nothing but rolling hills and blue skies for miles, gorgeous and peaceful… where was my camera?!
Love the Old Spice guy! Hehe “Smell like a man, man”. Brilliant.
I’m looking to take some short courses next year but there’s just so much I’m interested in I’m afraid I won’t have enough time!

Joanne, you’re a gem. Thank-you so much for linking to my piece! The Social Media NZ event sounds like so much fun and so, so interesting – I hope something like that happens in Sydney soon!
