Happy New Year! I’ve enjoyed taking a break from blogging (as well as study and work for that matter), holiday making without too much on my mind. Christmas was spent with mine and Tim’s family, and resulted in 3 holiday dinners in the space of 24 hours. For New Years I road tripped down to Gisborne with Jessie for Rhythm and Vines, where I split my time between working in the media centre as a media liaison, dancing to an eclectic mix of electro/house/hip hop/rock, and lying in the sun.
I rung in the New Year on a relatively clean slate; I’ve cleared out my email inbox, filed away projects of the year that’s passed and set up my Filofax (an excellent Christmas gift!) for 2011.
As I mentioned earlier, I am refocusing and redirecting JoanneFaith.com going forward. Since graduating with a Business degree in Marketing, I’ve started working part time in a digital marketing agency. I also have years of experience of owning Web sites, Blogging and living online; and I’ve picked up a lot of handy tips and tricks along the way. What I’m getting at is – I have a lot more to share with you than the latest fashion collections and look books.
This blog is about sharing advice and insight into what I do. It’s about projects and tips and tools of the trade. It’s about pointing out switched on brands and innovations in the fields of fashion and luxury.
But it’s also about sharing my style and aesthetic, so you can still expect What I Wore, Wishlists and other posts that illustrate my style direction.
In my 2011 re-branding I’m channeling one thing:
Meshing together digital marketing + fashion and style with my online personality, digital couture is the driving force behind my blog, and my brand.
You’ll notice that there have been significant changes made to the sidebar, and categorization system of blog posts. Ideally I’d like to can older posts and place them in a back archive, but in the meantime I’ve just given the system a realignment. The blog roll will be coming back after a bit of reorganization to better reflect my influences and reading recommendations.
Here’s to the amazing & wonderful year that’s ahead.
