Shoe Love: Moochi, Sam Edelman & Soda
May 19, 2011 in Shoes, Shopping

There are three reasons as to a lack of photos of myself & what I’m wearing. The first being that the auto-focus on my camera has miraculously stopped functioning which makes photographing humans a little difficult. The second is that I’ve bleached the hell out of my hair and am still getting used to how I photograph with it (yes, I’ve gone blonde!). The third is that I have three massive assignments all due in on the 30th of May (ack!).
I have had time to muse on my favourite shoes though, and though I’d go ahead and share as it’s been a good while since I’ve last done so.

I acquired these last Friday when I visited Moochi for their Dress Week launch. They’ve been attached to my feet ever since. They are extremely comfortable and pair especially well with leggings & skinny jeans.

I bought these when I was in New York, on one of the days spent loitering in SoHo until I collapsed of near exhaustion (jokes!). I’d been admiring these on the web for quite some time, and after seeing them in person I couldn’t say no any longer. They are heavy! Initially they’d fall off every time I tried to take a step in them, but gel inserts seem to have resolved the problem.

I’ve had these for awhile, but they are my favourite flats and I cannot live on heels alone (it’s totally normal!). I love that they come in black glitter which definitely compensates for their lack of elevation.

What are your favourite shoes right now? I’m willing to make room on my shoe-wishlist – so I’d love to hear what you suggest!

I absolutely love those Moochi shoes! So so gorgeous, the lace detailing is stunning. And those shoes with the studs are incredible, even if you can’t walk in them just stand there and give them the spotlight! Haha

Those lace Moochi shoes do look comfortable. It looks like there isn’t much rise from the toes to the heel. My favourite shoes right now are ankle boots from Kumfs or Zierra as they are now called. They are flat, lace ups with a gold zip. They are soooo comfortable and look good with slightly grunge outfits.

oooh I love those Sam Edelmans, I can see why they’re on your fave list. Mine would have to be my Chloe mary janes, Beau Coops x KW Thatchers and my vintage jodhpur boots.
Sad to be home from the US?

The Lorissas!!!! I die! You are so lucky to have them, I might go to the US and get them as well (shipping + taxes is way too much for those shoes). I need some glitter flats in my life as well

Gah! I’m completely in love with that first pair. Were they expensive? They look quality and the style is very unique. Jealous.

The Edelmans are fab! I love the stud details! Although I can totally understand wanting to wear flats as well. I live in mine most of the day.

Saw those lacy ones today in the Moochi store, very cute indeed!
As for the Edelmans, I had the same problem with the heaviness, found them a bit too delicate as well. Ended up admiring them more often than wearing them so I decided to give them up sadly!

I had been eyeing them for so long… pricey but if they’ve been in my head that long… same with the Edelmans! They are a bit odd though, a funny cross between heavy/clunky and delicate. I dig ‘em though and am terrible and selling things that I don’t even like wearing OR looking at!
