Hi! I’m Joanne,

I am a fashion & marketing personality based in Auckland, New Zealand. I am a hobbyist web designer, and also enjoy writing on the business of fashion & fashion blogging.

I have a degree from the University of Auckland in Marketing & Info. Management. I work part time at a little digital marketing agency in Parnell, and on other free-lance (if you can call it that!) projects on the side.

I am tech savvy! I love it when fashion and digital collide (fashion blogging is, perhaps, the perfect example), I can code websites, optimize ‘em for search engines and find my way around the internet like nobody’s business.

As for fashion & style - I love seeing how other people dress, being inspired, and dressing up myself. It’s not vain, it’s fun! I try desperately not to let shopping & wanting take control over my life. It’s difficult to find that balance even if you aren’t blogging it, but a conscious effort helps.

I started this blog to keep track of my fashion, style & aesthetically-charged thoughts and it’s very much developed into an extension of myself over time. There’s fashion, style, digital, marketing, web design and tips/tools of the trade. My focus is is very much still on New Zealand, but I can see it broadening soon enough…

On my style…

I’m picky, but I like to strike a balance between professional-chic and weekending. Think blouses and button up shirts with chunky wedges, leopard print belts and rings. I dress with two rules in mind “If you look in the mirror & don’t like what you see, change“, and “if ever in doubt, start with the shoe.”

I take my pictures using a Canon EOS 550 DSLR camera, one of the best investments I’ve ever made. My boyfriend takes a lot of my pictures (thank you!), and I edit them myself.

I like,

Dressing up, outlandish aesthetics, chocolate and cupcakes {when the mood strikes}, movie nights, brunch, bubbles {of the alcoholic variety}, laughing so hard it hurts, incredible shoes, color-coordinated interior design, wearing high heels and wedges around the home, shopping, and getting things done.
