I can’t believe I’ve been sitting on these photos for over a week! Easter weekend was gorgeous here in New Zealand, so after a rather bismal summer I wanted to get out and about and make the most of it. Cafe’s, the beach, and ice cold treats… So good! This leather jacket was a bit of a weekend staple, simply because it’s not very good at being a leather jacket (it’s not that warm at all)! But no worry, as that meant I could wear it pretty comfortably all weekend long without getting too hot.

I’m very excited to start posting recipes on this blog. It’s something I’ve been thinking about and planning to do for a long time so it’s very cool to finally see it happen. My preferred recipes are those that don’t ask for too many ingredients and are relativly healthy. I hope you like these posts!
I love an after-dinner sweet treat, although I’m much more likely to grab an ice bar or a few spoonfuls of Puhoi Valley’s gourmet yogurt than whip up my own creation. Enter: Super-Simple Blueberry Tiramisu. What I love about it is that it’s super quick to throw together. Plus, all the low fat swaps make it a much healthier version of the decadent original!

Here’s a little trick I learnt from the M.A.C Technique seminar I went to during NZ Fashion Festival: When in doubt, wear peach. I followed up on this last week by picking up a peach lipstick in ‘Ravishing’ and lip liner in ‘Summerfruit’. I’ve started asking the in-store M.A.C makeup artists to try the products on me before I buy. It takes a little bit longer, but I haven’t walked away with a regretful makeup buy since! Anyway, here’s my technique for the perfect ‘touch of peach.’

I’m currently mad-inspired by anything with a 50′s/60′s vibe, and this shoot for Vogue China hits the spot! Anyone for finding refuge in a diner at 2am whilst adorning an obnoxious pair of cat eye sunglasses.
Ever since joining Pinterest I’ve been exposed to more and more creative ideas… except I never really do anything with them! I’ve started ‘Five Things’ as a way to share the things I find the most interesting and inspiring with you each month. Expect the next ‘Five Things’ in the beginning of April as a way to start the month off on a good note by getting the creative juices flowing. Enjoy!

I have had a LOT of fun over the past week at the New Zealand Fashion Festival. Without even getting started on the fashion, just being amongst the hype of it all and meeting like minded people is genuinely thrilling!
I attended 3 of the 5 shows, and was out 4 out of 5 nights + Saturday morning at the last M.A.C Technique seminar + the Designer Garage Sale. I loved the idea of being able to buy what you see on the runway the very next day – and most designers were offering a $40 discount or gift with purchase as a bit of encouragement..
