NZNTM Cycle 2 – The Finale

I ceased writing about NZNTM as we got into the heart of the season, I’m not too sure why. Perhaps I was too busy, or perhaps my attention simply drifted after each 60 minute episode. Regardless, I have enjoyed the season and going into the finale had no idea on what to expect. My pick, Courtenay had been eliminated in the previous week leaving Danielle, Elza and Michaela to fight it out. I had thought it would have been Courtenay, Danielle and Michaela but after Elza’s amazing performance last week I’m not too sure.[...]

NZNTM Cycle 2 Episode 6 – Personal Trainers and Twinshoots

This week the girls were introduced to a personal trainer who took measurements of the girl’s body fat percentages. I have mixed feelings about the feature. On one hand, almost all of the girls claimed to have no knowledge of their weight, their diet (everyone loves junk food) and exercise (no one does any). The show seems to be trying to confirm that the girls are ‘normal’ and that they do eat.[...]

NZNTM Cycle 2 Episode 4 – Shooting with the Birds

I was hanging out for New Zealand’s Next Top Model all weekend, avoiding and spoilers until I could finally get a moment to catch up. This week was the inevitable makeup week, who was going to get their hair cut off?

NZNTM Cycle 2 Episode 3 – Photoshoot at Hells Gate

I caught up on episode 2 rather late in the week, so welcome to episode 3! On New Zealand’s Next Top Model this week the girls were taken on a short trip to Rotura for a tribal inspired photoshoot at the Hell’s Gate mud pools. This photoshoot did not look fun, the girls were covered in (cold!) mud, wearing only skin coloured undies and big tribal inspired jewellery.[...]

e’re back for NZNTM Cycle 2, which made its big debut on Friday night. It’s New Zealand reality TV at its best (and a huge part of that is the comedy factor). What’s surprising is the stark contrast between the number of girls who have had modelling experience and those who don’t have a clue as to what modelling is. It’s about 50/50, and there doesn’t seem to be any in between. [...]
